About the Agent

Anjali Singh founded her agency in 2024 after 28 years in the publishing industry. Before launching her own company, she worked at Harlem-based boutique agency Ayesha Pande Literary for nine years. Her career began with editorial roles at Other Press, Vintage Books, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, and Simon + Schuster, followed by a stint as a literary scout for international publishers. She is best known for championing Marjane Satrapi's Persepolis, which she discovered during a visit to Paris. Anjali is drawn to the thrill of discovering new writers and has helped launch the careers of authors such as Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Samantha Hunt, and Saleem Haddad. She focuses on literary fiction and memoir, and also represents graphic novel writers and illustrators across all age ranges. Anjali lives in New York City with her husband and two teenage daughters.
