About the Agent

The Ethan Ellenberg Literary Agency is an established literary agency, located in New York, that represents authors of a wide range of works. We have placed works with most of the large publishers, as well as many small publishers, and typically sell more than 100 titles per year. We specialize in commercial fiction, especially romance, science fiction, fantasy, thrillers, etc. We also have a very strong interest in children's books of all kinds. In non-fiction we are avid readers of history, biograpy, adventure, health, military, narrative non-fiction. Some of our notable clients include best-selling author of romantic fantasy Carissa Broadbent; John Scalzi, winner of the 2005 John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer in Science Fiction; Science Fiction star Dennis E. Taylor, and Caldecott-winning author Eric Rohmann. In addition to the AAR, we are also members of several other professional organizations, including the American Society of Journalists and Authors (ASJA) affiliate, Association International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP), Science Writers of America, Mystery Writers of America, Romance Writers of American, and others. We are actively seeking talented book authors, both published and unpublished, in many areas of nonfiction and fiction. Our interests for nonfiction include health, science and pop-science, psychology, history, current affairs, business, cookbooks, pop-culture, true crime, biography, memoir, new age and spirituality. For fiction, we’re interested in all kinds of commercial fiction –including thrillers, mysteries, action/adventure, children's, romance, women's fiction, ethnic, science fiction, and fantasy – and literary fiction.
