About the Agent

I founded Pippin Properties, Inc. in 1998 with a singular desire to send books I love into the world in the most strategic way possible. Over the years, Pippin has grown and become home to some of the crown jewels of the publishing world. We love to launch new careers for amazing authors and artists, as well as recalibrate the careers of more experienced creators. My particular taste tends toward powerful & deep graphic novels, poignant middle-grade and YA that speaks to the human spirit, and picture books in which I can immediately understand the characters from looking at their faces, picture books that I feel will make a difference in the world. Though Pippin's primary focus is the highest caliber literature for young people, we also eagerly represent our clients' adult-trade projects. We grow as you grow and are devoted to maintaining a standard of excellence in content unmatched in the industry. Additionally, in tandem with our clients' desires, we are passionate about increasing the footprint of every property we represent by licensing every ancillary right to our books that we can, from live stage to theatrical to merchandise to audio. Pippin Properties is also dedicated to diversity, inclusion, and equity in all facets of publishing. We believe we must all contribute to dismantling inequitable practices and systemic racism in the publishing industry and in our country. Pippin Properties has pledged to do our part by offering initiatives that aim to amplify and support underrepresented groups. Pippin Properties, Inc. is based in New York City, at 110 West 40th Street, adjacent to Bryant Park. Pippin Properties, Inc. is an agency devoted primarily to picture books, middle-grade, graphic novels, and young adult novels, also representing adult projects on occasion. We are always on the lookout for writers and illustrators who take the challenge of creating books seriously and are willing to give the publishing world nothing less than their very best.
