About the Agent
James Farner (he/him) is an Associate Agent at JABberwocky Literary Agency, where he directly assists COO Brady McReynolds. Born and raised in the Midwest, he earned his bachelor’s degree in English writing and religious studies from the University of Oklahoma, where he interned with the award-winning literary magazine World Literature Today. He later moved to New York City to attend The New School for Social Research’s Liberal Studies master’s program. James began his career at JABberwocky as an intern in 2019 and transitioned to a full-time role in 2021. While James grew up reading epic fantasies and sweeping space operas, his current reading interests are primarily focused on the mystery and thriller genres. Outside of reading, his limited free time is dedicated to keeping up with the best TV series and listening to podcasts in the tech-adjacent, pop-culture sphere.
