About the Agent

Lisa Rodgers grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and received her bachelor’s degree in English literature. She moved to New York City to attend NYU’s Summer Publishing Institute and joined the JABberwocky team soon after. She is looking for fantasy and science fiction with complex systems, cohesive worldbuilding, moral quandaries, and ambiguity. She is particularly interested in female protagonists, non-Western settings, and protagonists from marginalized groups, as well as stories that challenge beliefs or values. She enjoys SFF of all kinds, from epic fantasy to space opera and military SF, and is interested in both large-scale and smaller-scale stories. Lisa also represents horror that evokes a feeling of unease and goes a little left of center, whether contemporary with a supernatural hint or more speculative. She is interested in YA fantasy, horror, science fiction, thriller, and romance, especially with non-traditional narrative structures.
