About the Agent
My early years were defined by an over-achieving "theater kid" persona, a packed high school schedule, and a constant presence on stage. At the University of Michigan, I pursued Film & Television with an emphasis on production. While others attended football games, I found solace and focus in the library's quiet emptiness. My semester abroad in Los Angeles led to an internship at The Weinstein Company. I had planned to move to LA after graduation, but a fortunate maternity leave opening at the agency in April 2008 shifted my trajectory. What began as a temporary position, filling in for my mother, quickly evolved into a permanent role. I simply never left. In my 14 years at the agency, I've cultivated a list of adult trade fiction and narrative non-fiction. I'm particularly drawn to voice-forward fiction that explores the complex intersections of tech, media, and modern relationships. I seek elevated and stylish writing across genres, including thrillers, horror, sci-fi, and magical realism, often finding myself captivated by novels that defy easy categorization. For non-fiction, I crave narrative—whether it's an untold historical chapter, an intimate memoir, or a portrait of a contemporary cultural phenomenon. In addition to managing domestic publishing deals for my clients, I also oversee all film, television, and dramatic rights for the agency's entire list. This involves leveraging the underlying intellectual property of our print clients for adaptations, not representing screenplays directly. Our Film/TV relationships are non-exclusive and tailored to each project, leading to a diverse range of adaptations from serialized TV shows to Broadway plays.
