About the Agent
As a Vice President and literary agent at Folio, I represent literary and upmarket commercial fiction and narrative non-fiction. I previously worked as an agent at Emma Sweeney Agency, LLC, transitioning to Folio in January 2020 to represent many of their clients. My seven years in editorial, primarily at Thomas Dunne Books, an imprint of St. Martin's Press, provided me with an insider's understanding of the publishing house. I leverage this knowledge to benefit my clients and use my editorial background to work closely and thoroughly with authors to develop their projects before submission. I am proud to represent immensely talented authors, including New York Times bestsellers; winners of the Asian/Pacific American Award in Literature, the National Jewish Book Award, and the Ploughshares Emerging Writer Award; finalists for the National Book Award, the PEN/Hemingway Award, the California Book Award, and the Women's Prize; Indie Next Pick and NYT Editor's Choice authors; and authors chosen for national book clubs such as Reese's Book Club, Book of the Month Club, Barnes & Noble Discovery, and Target. I grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, and graduated from Wake Forest University with a degree in English and double minors in journalism and Spanish. I now live in Brooklyn with my husband and two sons. When I'm not reading, I enjoy taking advantage of New York City's art, dance, theater, and restaurant scene, and I also love to travel. I am grateful every day for the privilege of supporting writers in their work of bringing literature into the world that describes, enriches, and transforms our lives.
