About the Agent
Paloma Hernando began her career at Einstein Literary Management in 2020, where she developed a list focused on graphic novels and illustrated books. She joined APL in the fall of 2024. Coming from a background in independent comics and the DIY scene, Paloma is drawn to well-told stories with a passionate drive. She is also accepting prose works and seeks genre stories that offer fresh perspectives. Paloma enjoys trope-y fun, especially when it's deconstructed and reimagined in new ways. Paloma also represents illustrators for literary projects and is always on the lookout for strong visual styles. As the daughter of Argentinian immigrants, she views publishing globally and is eager to work with bilingual or international projects. Currently based in Brooklyn, Paloma can often be found at a drag show or in the karaoke room. She also enjoys recommending movies.
