About the Agent
Stephanie Cabot grew up in London, Paris, and New England, with a French and American background. She attended Harvard, where she studied History, and began her career in finance at JP Morgan in New York and London. Her path in publishing began at WME in London, where she spent nine years, leading the office for the last five. She then relocated to the US to join The Gernert Company in New York, where she worked for fifteen years before coming to SLA in the Spring of 2020. Stephanie’s editorial interests are wide-ranging and reflect her personal reading tastes. She represents authors from around the globe and is drawn to international narratives, whether in story, memoir, or essays. She also champions literary fiction that showcases diverse, global voices, speculative fiction, upmarket commercial fiction, and crime and thrillers. Stephanie is generally not the right fit for science fiction. For the past ten years, Stephanie has been involved with World Connect, a small, internationally focused social justice NGO dedicated to empowering grassroots leaders to initiate change in their communities.
