About the Agent
William Reiss has been with the firm since 1971. His training regimen involved eavesdropping and asking questions, a practice he continues to this day. He has a penchant for junk food, historical narratives, biography, and slightly off-beat fiction, citing Wicked by Gregory Maguire and Paint It Black by Janet Fitch as examples. He also represents children's books, such as Stoner & Spaz by Ron Koertge, and nature writing, like Living at the End of Time by John H. Mitchell. In his own words, William is a lazy, neo-Luddite, waiting for electronic communication to become simpler than telephoning, which he also dislikes.
